Grant Awarded to dynamic new Arts Network The Frome Creative Network is an affiliation of artists and organisations from the many different fields of creative endeavours, who are living and working in Frome and its environs. The Network was set up as a result of four public meetings held at the Cheese & Grain last Autumn. It aims to act as a point of reference for the huge variety of creative people here, to enable them to collaborate, take their work out to the wider community and generally keep the lively and vibrant spirit of artistic activity alive and flourishing. This non-profit organisation was recently awarded a grant from the Frome Area Regeneration Programme. The grant will enable the group to legally form and further develop a website at www.fromecreativenetwork.co.uk . Currently you can visit the website, to sign up and receive more information. It is also hoped that the Frome Creative Network will establish a directory of all arts related people in the area, which will provide a useful resource for artists, schools, libraries and businesses. The Network is currently looking to appoint a website designer, to expand the site for the network. If you are interested, please send your CV and details to: info@fromecreativenetwork.co.uk . Everyone is welcome to a public meeting on Wednesday June 13 at 7.30pm in the Cheese and Grain, where a new team of people will be elected, to take the Network forward to it's next phase. If you are interested in the creative life of the town and would like to put yourself forward, please contact us at: weneedyou@fromecreative.co.uk Ideally we are looking for people who have some skills in the area of finance, website design/programming, administration, fund-raising and marketing. To help raise funds, the Network is holding a PARTY on Saturday 12 May in the Masonic Hall, North Parade, Frome. The party will start at 7.30pm, with live musicians until 9.00pm. Music by local DJ's will have you dancing till midnight in a specially created UV world, with a casino for those who fancy a flutter. Hoolie Royale promises to be a night to remember and tickets at £5 are available in advance from Raves from the Grave or £6.00 on the door.
